Player Stats

These are the numbers that decide how you fight.

Open the stats panel. The Stats tab shows your health, experience, attack, armor, accuracy, and speed.

The gear you wear is added to your attack and armor.

  • Health is how much damage you can take. You start at 100. Each level a Warrior gains 25, a Hunter 15, and a Mage 5.
  • Total XP is the experience you have earned from creatures and quests. Enough of it raises your level.
  • Attack is how hard you hit. A swing is not one fixed number. It can land low, or a little high.
  • Say your attack is 10, and the creature has 3 defence. The attack used is 7. The hit lands somewhere between half of that and a little over it. Then the creature's armor comes off.
  • Armor lowers the damage a hit does to you. It comes off after the hit is rolled.
  • Accuracy is how often your swing connects. At 4, that is 60%. Each point above 4 adds 5%, up to 95%. A wand does not use this. It always connects.
  • Speed is how fast you walk. You start at 100. It goes up by 1 every level.
  • The Skills tab holds your fighting skills. A Warrior trains Club, Sword, and Axe. Only the weapon you are holding gains that skill, and only that skill helps the swing.
  • A Mage trains Magic Fighting. A Hunter trains Distance Fighting.
  • Each level of the fighting skill you are using adds 0.25 attack and 0.02 accuracy. You gain it when your hits draw blood.
  • When that creature dies, the same skill gets a bonus from those blood hits. A miss or a block does not count.
  • Say a rat has 20 health and gives 5 experience, and you landed 5 blood hits. The fighting bonus is 20. That is separate from the 5 experience that raises your level. It goes to the weapon skill you had out when the rat died. It is a bonus to that fighting skill for the fight.
  • Defence is on the Skills tab too. It is not the same as armor. Each defence level takes 1 off a creature's swing before the hit is rolled. Their defence does the same to your attack.
  • You gain defence when a creature's hit draws your blood.
  • When that creature dies, defence gets a bonus from the blood hits it landed on you. A miss or a block does not count.
  • Say that rat landed 5 blood hits on you before it died. The defence bonus is 1. That is separate from the 5 experience that raises your level. It stays small because each defence level takes 1 off a creature's attack. It is a bonus to defence for that fight.
  • A Warrior reaches the next defence level sooner than a Hunter. A Mage reaches it last. Each level still takes the same 1 off the swing for every class.
